What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format used to deliver information from websites and pages that get updated regularly.
RSS also called “RSS Feeds”, you can stay connected with your favorite websites without having to visit them, you can get the updates of your favorite sites by getting your favorite site headlines or a full content.
When ever you subscribe to your favorite sites by subscribing by email or by grabbing the RSS Feed URL to your RSS Reader program, you will automatically receive updates from your favorite websites that publishes articles, videos etc.
You can read the RSS of websites using RSS Readers in your computer by downloading RSS reader program or you can read the RSS feeds using online services like Google Reader.
You can also submit your website RSS Feed to RSS Submissions websites to drive traffic to your website and also to get high rank for your website in the SERP, if you Submit your website RSS Feed to RSS Submissions websites you will get backlinks and also people can find your articles that available in the RSS Submissions websites in the search engines, look at the screen shot below.

I have submitted my website RSS Feed in “Blogcatalog” directory website that allows me to submit my website RSS feed in it.
So as you can see in the screenshot above, “Blogcatalog” website is in the second position, but look at the title and the description of “Blogcatalog” website, what you see there is one of my posts, so if someone click on “Blogcatalog” website he will be redirect to my profile in “Blogcatalog” that my RSS Feed is in their and he will visit my website.
